BMW Group and THACO AUTO Group (“we”) take your personal information security seriously. We request that you read this privacy policy carefully as it contains important information on how we collect your personal information and how we will use your personal data.

To comply with Vietnamese laws and regulations on privacy, including but not limited to the Civil Code No. 91/2015/QH13, the Information Technology Law No. 67/2006/QH11, the Law on Information Security No. 86/2015/QH13, and the Cybersecurity Law No. 24/2018/QH14 (“the Laws”), we have appointed THACO AUTO DISTRIBUTION COMPANY LIMITED (“THACO AUTO”) as our representative to ensure compliance with the Laws in Vietnam and this privacy policy.

6. CREDIT CHECKING

To enable us and other companies in our group to make credit decisions about you and members of your household, and for fraud prevention and anti-money laundering purposes, we may search the files of credit reference and fraud prevention agencies (who will record the search). We may disclose information on how you manage your account to these agencies, and your information may be linked to records relating to other individuals living at the same address with whom you are financially linked. Other credit grantors may use this information to make credit decisions about you and the people with whom you are financially associated, as well as for fraud prevention, tracing debtors, and money laundering purposes.

7. TRANSFERRING YOUR DATA ABROAD

To the fullest extent permitted by the Laws, the information you provide may be transferred to countries outside Vietnam that may not have similar protections in place regarding your personal data and restrictions on its use as set out in this Privacy Policy. We will cease to retain your personal data when the purpose for which the personal data was collected is no longer being served by retention of the personal data or retention is no longer necessary for our business or legal purposes.

13. PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED AND/OR PROCESSED BY OUR PARTNERS

You agree that your personal data may be collected and/or processed by our partners, especially our independent agents (not owned by THACO AUTO Group). They may have different privacy policies and practices regarding your personal data. We will request them to respect and protect your personal data reasonably, but we will not be responsible for any of their policies and/or practices.

14. BUSINESS TRANSITIONS

If a BMW or THACO AUTO-related business is sold or merged with another business, your details may be disclosed to our advisors and any prospective purchasers and their advisors and will be passed on to the new owners of the business.
